Azalia Suhaimi

Azalia Suhaimi is a multi-talented artist based in Selangor, Malaysia. With a creative journey spanning four years in illustration, sixteen years in photography, and twenty years in poetry and writing, Azalia brings a rich tapestry of artistic expression to her work.

Azalia specializes in commissioned illustrations for various projects, from packaging and money packets to book covers and social media campaigns. She describes her artwork as cute, impactful, and poetic, capturing hearts and minds with its charm and depth.

Drawing inspiration from the depths of her heart, Azalia's art reflects lessons learned from personal struggles and issues close to her heart. As a lover of love, she often doodles hearts in the corners of her artwork. Currently, her artwork revolves around themes of self-compassion and motherhood, stemming from her present phase of life.

"I have things that I struggle with in the demands of modern parenthood, and then I'd have ways to care for myself in order to manage those struggles - these experiences somehow inspire me to create art based on them."

Azalia finds joy and inspiration in the simple pleasures of life, such as journaling, cozy cafes, and invigorating workouts. Her chosen color palette, reminiscent of pastel hues and summertime warmth, reflects her pursuit of happiness in a challenging world.
